Addy's Christmas Dress

I put on Addy's Christmas dress last night to see how it fit and it looked so stinkin cute on her. She didn't really share my enthusiasm about it though. She walked around tryin to take it off. I can't wait to get her pictures done in it.

My "bruised apple"

The other day Nicole told Addy that she looked like a little bruised apple and I decided that was a perfect way to describe her lately. The poor little gal bonks her head about fifty times a day throughout all of her exploring. It doesn't really slow her down much though so I guess it can't hurt that bad. She split her cheek open by crashing into the wall and a couple days later she got cut on her nose from face planting it into Tyson's computer. Those cuts, along with all of the bruises and goose eggs on her head, make her look just like a little bruised apple. I can't hardly stand to watch her play anymore because I know its going to eventually lead to a crash.

NO More Cupboard!

I finally got some hooks so that Addy can't get into the Cupboard in the kitchen that she absolutely loves, but I still haven't realized that you have to actually put them on for them to work. Addy gets into that cupboard about a trillion times a day and brings me boxes of food wanting me to open them. I finally had enough, but instead of putting the five bucks I spent on the little hooks to use, in a fit of furry I wrapped a rubber band around the knobs as tight as it would go. Now getting the doors open is a pain, but the results are spectacular. Unless you ask Addy! She came running over to me saying "ma". Little does she know I am the cause of all of her cupboard grief!

The cutest butt in the world!

I think when Addy grows up she is going to think it is normal to go up to people and pinch their butts because she gets hers pinched about 100 times a day. It is just so stinkin pinchable though. I love it! It was pretty tough to get a good picture though because even more than its a cute butt, it's an on the move butt. I can't believe that my little gal is going to be a year in a month. Time flies when your having fun I guess.

Itsy Bitsy Spider

Every morning when I am feeding Addy breakfast I sing Itsy Bitsy Spider to her. I didn't really think she ever payed too much attention to it until a few weeks ago she started to turn her hands to do the actions to it. Ever since then she has become a pro! Addy's grandma Jen came up this week and brought her a little puppy that sings Itsy bitsy spider, and a lot of other songs. Addy loves it! I will start the song and she will sit by it and do the actions to it, and "dance" to the ones she doesn't know. I'm pretty sure she got her dancing moves from me! She will walk around with her arms straight out and bob to music. She is getting pretty dang good at walking now too. She has even moved on to running! She loves to chase dexter down and give him a good body slamming. I still think that one day they will be the best of friends.
Ya thats a cord in her mouth. We have a little usb mouse that she loves and its easier to just let her play with it then take it away from her.

Red Sox Fever!

Go Red Sox! So if you know Tyson, you know that he kinda likes the Red Sox, (kinda in the sense that I am pretty sure he would probably kick me and Addy to the curb if he had a chance to go to Fenway). And as much as I don't like to admit it, I have come around to the dark side. I like to pretend that I don't care, but after watching last nights game, when they came back from a 7 - zip score after the seventh inning, I decided there is no more pretending. I love the Red Sox! I was jumping up and down screaming at the t.v. just like a true fan should be!

Last summer we took the boys to Arizona to watch the Red Sox beat the Diamondbacks.

The first day we brought Addy home from the hospital, her dad had her all decked out in the Red Sox attire he got for her when he was hoping she was a boy.

For fathers day Nicole helped me make a card for Addy to give to her dad. He love it!

Big Helper

Addy is the best helper since she has learned how to open up cupboards! I have mixed feelings about whether I should stop her, or just clean up the mess later. It's just so nice having something to keep her busy little self content for five minutes. She has really been working on walking the last couple days and has even taking a step a few times. It looks like I am going to have chasing her around the house (even more so than I do know) coming up in the near future. I have a feeling that once she gets walking down, she will be running not too long after.

Addy's "Daa"

The day that we brought Addy home from the hospital we shook Dexter's little world. He has never been a huge fan of hers' and I'm pretty sure he thought we were better off without her. He was just getting used to Addy and then something horrible happened; she learned how to crawl...and she has gotten pretty darn fast! The first month Addy could crawl she didn't pay very much attention to Dexter, but this last month she has really taken to him. She even calls him daa. Dex has a little stuffed beaver that he loves to play tug a war with Tyson or me, and now he gets to play it with Addy. She will find it on the floor and then hunt Dexter down and smack him with it. Needless to say he spends a lot of time running from her. Their relationship is a little rocky now, but I think that one day they will be the best of friends.

Peek A Boo!

The other night I was trying to get Addy to sleep and she would just pass out when I would hold her and rock her, but when I would lay her down it would only last about five minutes then I would hear her squirmin around in her crib. Time after time I sat and listened and watched her weasel her way up her crib and climb up it. She has gotten so good at standing up to things and it didn't take her to long to be staring out at me beaming because she was so proud of herself. Finally at one in the morning she went down for good. I just can't get over how big she is getting. I am waiting to wake up one morning and find her walking around the house.

My big girl

I can't believe how fast Addy is growing. She is so big now. It is so much fun to watch her learn new things and see how proud she gets when she masters a new trick. She is crawling all over the place now and keeping me on my toes. This summer has been such a blast taking Addy to do things. When fall gets here I am not going to be ready to put up all of her little shorts and tank tops! At least we will get to go do one of our most favorite things, shop for new clothes!

Addy's New Pool!

Addy loves the water so we decided to get her a little swimming pool. She didn't quite know what to think about it at first, but it didn't take her long to get splashing. Even though she was having a blast we couldn't get her to wipe the scowl off of her face (we were having a little bit of a grouchy day). My favorite part about the whole thing was that chubby little body in that swimming suit.

Oh ya, I have a blog!

So I have lived with a professional blogger for several months now, but I am just barely getting ready to admit that I am just not "My Space" material anymore and it's time to move on. I can't believe how fast life goes by. A year ago from now I would never imagined that today I would be holding my little baby girl, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Addy is growing so fast and hopefully keeping a blog will help me keep track of all the cute things she does a little bit better. The journal thing isn't working out so well for us! I am going to make a goal to post something at least once a week so wish me luck.
